Reports say that young ruler Kim Jong-un spotted his future wife at one of her concerts.

Other sources state that the North Korean leader's late father, Kim Jong Il, chose the wife for his son himself.

It was not until Wednesday that the secretive country's state television revealed that the young woman pictured accompanying Kim this month is his wife, Ri Sol-Ju.

Neither Kim's father nor grandfather Kim Il-Sung were ever pictured with their wives at public events, international media remind.
