Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov had a phone conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel Thursday to present the country's economic development and the reform measures taken by the government.

According to the press office of the Bulgarian Council of Ministers, Borisov and Merkel discussed the political and economic relations between the two countries and in a European context.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Borisov met with European Council President Herman van Rompuy and European Commission President Jos? Manuel Barroso in Brussels.

According to the press office of the Bulgarian Council of Ministers, Brussels praised the improved EU funds absorption and the financial condition of the country.
