Bulgaria Sees 0.5% Inflation Since Beginning of 2012

Bulgaria's accumulated inflation rate since the beginning of 2012 was 0.5% as of June, according to the country's National Statistical Institute.

The annual inflation in June 2012 compared to June 2011 was 1.6%.

Consumer prices in the fell by 1% in June, after shrinking by 0.1% in May, according to the Institute's data.

Prices for food and beverages went down by 2.4%. Transportation prices dropped by 1.8%.

The annual average inflation, measured by the consumer price index in the last 12 months (July 2011 – June 2012) compared to the previous 12 months (July 2010 - June 2011) was 2.7%.
