Bulgarian Cabinet Names 4 New Ambassadors

Bulgaria's cabinet has proposed at its Wednesday sitting four new ambassadors, to be sent to the Czech Republic, Portugal, Japan and South Korea.

Bulgarian writer and journalist Dimitar Bochev has been named for the Prague diplomatic spot, while interim ambassador in Italy Todor Stoyanov would be sent to Lisbon.

Diplomat Georgi Vasilev, who 2006-10 served as Bulgaria's ambassador to Vietnam was named to go to Tokyo.

Another career diplomat, Petar Andonov, who has served as ambassador to Japan and the Phillipines, would be sent to Korea.

In order to become effective, the cabinet's proposals have first to be approved by Bulgaria's President Rosen Plevneliev.
