Bulgarian, Serbian Nabbed for Spectacular Speeding in Croatia

A Bulgarian driver has been stopped by the police in Croatia for driving at the fantastic speed of 248 km/h.

The Bulgarian was driving on the highway between capital Zagreb and Lipovac, reports Croatian online news site Index.hr.

In a separate incident little bit later, Croatian police stopped a Serbian driver who was speeding at the more modest 230 km/h.

The speed limit on Croatian highways is 130 km/h.

The two have been banned from driving in Croatia for 12 months, with the Bulgarian fined EUR 530 and the Serbian - EUR 400.
