Unit 6 of Bulgaria's Kozloduy NPP Back in Line after Glitch

One of the two units of Bulgaria's Kozloduy NPP, which suffered a technical glitch Saturday, has been switched back on and is functioning properly.

6.32 am Sunday morning Kozloduy NPP's Unit 6 was re-connecte to Bulgaria's energy network, informed the NPP management.

All needed technical procedures to repair the equipment that led to the switching off of the unit have been carried out.

The tests conducted have confirmed that the systems and facilities of Unit 6 are working completely properly.

Unit 5 of Kozloduy NPP, also with a power of 1000 MW, has been uninteruptedly working at 100%.

Unit 6 was switched off Bulgaria's energy network in the wee hours Saturday after an automatic action of one of the reactor's turbogenerator electric protection.
