"The Black Sea region is wonderful, but its development is stalled by a string of bilateral or trilateral problems between specific countries," stated Bulgarian PM Boyko Borisov.

Tuesday Borisov is participating in the 20th anniversary summit of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (OBSEC) in Istanbul.

During the sitting, Black Sea region leaders could not agree to the text of the final document of the meeting, which provoked the Bulgarian PM's comments.

The chief reason for the failure was a long-lasting territorial conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia, reported the Bulgarian National Radio.

According to Bulgarian PM Borisov, his country is an example to the region, with the road and railway infrastructure projects it is carrying out to better link it with Greece, Macedonia and Albania.

In his speech, Borisov called for closer cooperation of the OBSEC with the institution of the European Union.

Participants in the summit are now discussing a new economic agenda for the Organization for the next decade.
