A TV grab

Two hand grenades have been discovered in the SKAI TV station headquarters in Athens Sunday, following a phone threat that bombs have been planted.

Sunday Greece is holding elections seen as crucial for the future of the country and the eurozone, with financial institutions hoping that an austerity-friendly government will be able to be formed.

However, leftist SYRIZA coalition, led by Alexis Tsipras, which opposes austerity, is showing strong results in opinion polls.

Sunday the Katimerini SI media corporation, which owns SKAI, received a bomb threat that a grenade has been thrown in its facilities.

The buildings, which include offices of TV and radio stations, were evacuated, after which the two hand grenades were uncovered.

The caller has not specified the motives for the action; police are further investigating the incident.
