Ukraine have beaten Sweden 2:1 in a Euro 2012 Group D match on Monday, taking the lead in Group D.

The win has become historic as it is Ukraine's first at a European football championship.

On the Olympic Stadium in Ukraine’s Kiev, Zlatan Ibrahimovic gave Sweden the lead in the 52nd minute.

Ukraine’s captain, 35-year-old Andriy Shevchenko responded by heading in the equalizer just three minutes later and then added the winner in the 62nd minute.

After the 1:1 draw between France and England earlier on Monday, Ukraine is now in the lead in Group D of Euro 2012.
