Turkish Customs officers at the Kapakule cross border check point have busted weapons' parts in an attempt to illegally import them from Bulgaria to Turkey.

The load was discovered in a tractor trailer with Turkish license plates which entered from the Kapitan Andreevo checkpoint on the Bulgarian side.

97 weapons parts were found in different hiding places inside the vehicle – chargers, bullets, and weapons' electronics, among others.

The driver and a male passenger have been arrested.
