Bulgarian Rhythmic Gymnasts Grab Silver, Bronze Medals in Russia

Bulgaria's rhythmic gymnastics ensemble won two medals at the European championship in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod on Sunday.

The Bulgarian team featuring Reneta Kamberova, Mihaela Maevska, Tsvetelina Naydenova, Elena Todorova, Hristiyana Todorova and Katrin Velkova nailed the silver medal in the 3 ribbons/2 hoops contest, gathering a score of 27.500.

Belarus won the contest with 28.000, while Italy finished third with 27.200.

The Bulgarian ensamble also clinched the third place in the 5 balls contest with 28.000 points, improving its qualification score by 0.200 points.

The home girls won the gold medal with 28.800, followed by Belarus with 28.050.
