The Sofia Morning News Turns 11!

The 3399th issue of The Sofia Morning News has marked its 11th birthday on June 1, 2012!

Bulgaria's only English-language daily newspaper, The Sofia Morning News, a publication of Novinite.com (Sofia News Agency), has become 11 years old as of 00:00 EET on June 1, 2012!

The 11th year of The Sofia Morning News has been especially exciting since the paper got a fresh new design with a number of exciting features!

What is more - since February 1, 2012, The Sofia Morning News has a Bulgarian-language cousin - The Novinite Daily - an online daily in Bulgarian based on the highly successful concept of The Sofia Morning News, which was created by the Novinite Team after the launch of its Bulgarian-language service - Novinite.bg - on October 22, 2011!

Novinite.com's online daily newspaper, The Sofia Morning News, was started on June 1, 2001. It was initially called "Bulgarian Breaking News", and was launched less than 3 months after the start of Novinite.com (Sofia News Agency) on March 11, 2001.

Subsequently, the paper was renamed "The Sofia Morning News" and its weekly Saturday's edition, The Sofia Weekly was launched. The subscription figures of The Sofia Morning News and The Sofia Weekly near 30 000.

The Sofia Morning News - available at www.novinite.com/smn - is one of the few English-language dailies in Eastern Europe. It is available for free online, and is registering a growing number of online subscribers who receive it fresh into their email inbox.

A print-out of The Sofia Morning News is available every morning to the guests of the five-star hotels in the Bulgarian capital.

Bulgaria's largest English-language media Novinite.com (Sofia News Agency) became 11 years old as of 00:00 CET on Friday, March 11, 2011!

Novinite.com (Sofia News Agency) was founded in 2001 by Bulgarian journalist, businessman, and public relations expert, Maxim Behar. It was formally launched on March 11, 2001.
