A special logistics hub for the distribution of Chinese goods in Europe is likely to be set up in the northern Bulgarian city of Pleven, according to its Deputy Mayor Anton Bosilkov.

Bosilkov revealed Monday, as cited by BTA, that the idea was discussed with the authorities of the Chinese city of Yangquan, Shanxi Province, during a recent visit there by the municipal administration of Bulgaria's Pleven.

According to Bosilkov, the proposal came from the administration of Yangquan, which is a sister city of Bulgaria's Pleven.

The municipal administration in Pleven, which is one of the larger cities in Northern Bulgaria, are said to be ready to offer a land plot for the future logistics hub.

Pleven expects visits by Chinese business delegations in June and December 2012, its Deputy Mayor said.

In his words, Chinese businesspeople are looking for investment opportunities in agriculture such as wine-making, and the production of sunflower oil.
