Bulgaria's former international Hristo Stoichkov may be appointed as coach of Turkish Super League team Besiktas, according to media reports.
The legendary Barcelona striker has been at the helm of last year's Bulgarian champions Litex Lovech over the past six months. However, Litex recently lost its sponsorship and the club is expected to sink into oblivion next season.
Stoichkov has reportedly told Radyospor that he is currently content with his situation in Litex. However, he has not ruled out the possibility of taking over the Turkish giants.
"Besiktas has not offered me anything personally. But I know that the club's president is interested," he has commented, as cited by dnevnik.bg
Stoichkov has stated that Turkish football is "really good," adding that he is always ready to negotiate.
