Bulgaria's tom female tennis player Tsvetana Pironkova surprisingly eased past experienced Russian Nadia Petrova in the second round of the 2012 Brussels Open.
Pironkova defeated the two-time French Open finalist in 77 minutes and without losing a single service game. She reached her first WTA quarterfinal this season, earning 120 ranking points and USD 16 375.
Pironkova and the world No. 29 had never played each other before,
The Bulgarian, currently ranked No. 46, will face Estonian Kaia Kanepi in the next round.
