The southwestern Bulgarian town of Razlog is eager to present the opportunities for cultural and historical tourism, mineral baths and SPA treatments to tourists from India.

On Sunday, Razlog will welcome representatives of Indian tour operators.

The visit will take place within the forum "Bulgaria as a tourist destination on the Indian market".

The initiative aims to create useful business contacts in the tourism industry and to present Bulgaria as an attractive cultural destination, according to Krasimir Gerchev, Mayor of Razlog.

Gerchev expects representatives of ten of the biggest and most popular tourist companies from Delhi and Mumbai organizing travels to Europe.

The visitors will get acquainted with the advantages of Bulgaria as a tourist destination and will make a round trip tour across Bulgaria.

The trip will start Wednesday in Veliko Tarnovo and will also include Kazanlak, Plovdiv, Velingrad, Razlog and Sofia.

"We will also show them the golf playground, some of the SPA complexes, the horse ranch and the restored ancient solar calendar from the 7th century, which was found by archaeologists near Razlog," the Mayor added.
