International arrest warrants have been issued for Angel Hristov and Plamen Galev, the infamous Bulgarian mobster pair known as the "Galevi brothers", according to Bulgaria's Interior Minister.

No official data exists suggesting that Galev and Hristov have left their home country, Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov told reporters on Tuesday. He said a Red Notice has been issued for their arrests.

Tsvetanov stated that there was no need for legislative amendments in Bulgaria in order to prevent cases similar to that of "Galevi" who disappeared after their jail sentences were announced.

Earlier on Tuesday, Kalin Georgiev, Chief Secretary of Bulgaria's Interior Ministry, disclosed that Interpol was to publish a Red Notice for the notorious "brothers."

Angel Hristov and Plamen Galev aka the "Galevi brothers" disappeared at the beginning of last week after the Bulgarian Supreme Court of Cassation finally confirmed their organized crime sentences last week, and the two were supposed to be sent to jail for 5 and 4 years respectively.
