Berbatov Wooed by Lazio - Report

Troubled Bulgarian Manchester United forward Dimitar Berbatov is a wanted player for Italian Lazio, according to reports by Italy's Corriere dello Sport.

The Italian paper writes that Lazio president Claudio Lotito has started talks with Manchester United to by Berbatov from the British team.

Lotito has already allegedly met with the Bulgarian's agent Emil Danchev to also discuss Berba's own conditions.

The forward has extended his contract with United until the summer of 2013, but the team is reported to be willing to sell it for EUR 7-8 M even this year.

Corriere dello Sport comments that Lazio however might find problematic Berbatov's request of a minimal salary of EUR 4 M per season.

A number of European teams, including Italy's Juventus, Germany's Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, French Paris Saint-Germain and Turkish Galatasaray, are said to have expressed interest in the Bulgarian.
