Bulgaria's Prime Minister Boyko Borisov is to become the country's President, Serbian turbo-folk singer Ceca Velickovic has predicted.

Velickovic spoke to reporters after arriving in Bulgaria's capital Sofia on her private jet Wednesday in order to prepare for her Sofia concert on May 22, 2012.

Ceca Velickovic is one of the most famous Serbian pop folk stars and widow of Serbian career criminal and paramilitary leader notable for organizing and leading a paramilitary force in the Yugoslav Wars, Zelko Raznoatovic, aka Arkan. The Serbian turbo-folk music is a Balkan genre close the Bulgarian pop folk or chalga music.

"Boyko Borisov makes progress every time I come to Bulgaria. Next time he will be the President," stated Velickovic, as cited by BGNES.

Arkan's widow, however, has declined to answer whether Borisov will be kissing her again, as was the case during their previous encounter.

In 2011, Velickovic was under house arrest for eight months over a case in which she is under investigation for misappropriating nearly EUR 12 M from transfers of football players abroad in her capacity of President of the Football Club Obilic. The charges involve 15 transfers for which there are no contracts with Obilic and no financial information about the money the club received from them.

Several foreign countries, including Bulgaria, have been asked to provide the official transfer contracts.

In Bulgaria the questionable transfers involve players Nebojsa Jelenkovic and Milan Obradovic, both competing for the Litex FC in the city of Lovech.

Ceca Velickovic's former husband Arkan was on Interpol's most wanted list for robberies and murders committed in a number of European countries and was later indicted by the UN for crimes against humanity. He was gunned down in 2000 in downtown Belgrade.

Velickovic was arrested after the March 2003 murder of Serbian Prime Minister, Zoran Djinjic, over suspicions she was harboring members of the mafia, involved in the murder, in her house where 11 guns were found by the authorities. She was later released over lack of evidence and after the court accepted her explanation the guns belonged to Arkan and she was not aware of their existence.

Velickovic is believed to be close with Serbia's current Interior Minister Ivica Dacic who used to be a spokesperson of former Serbian dictator Slobodan Milosevic.
