The sale of tickets for what is believed by many to be one of Bulgaria's greatest music gigs of all time – Lady Gaga's concern in Sofia on August 14, 2012 – will start on Friday, organizers said.

5-time Grammy Award winner's Sofia gig will be the first one in the European leg of her Born This Way Ball tour.

The organizers from Sofia Music Enterprises believe that a record number of people will try to get tickets for the concert scheduled to take place on Bulgaria's National Stadium "Vasil Levski".

The gig will come exactly three years after the phenomenal performance of Madonna, whose successor the extravagant Lady Gaga is said to be.

The Born This Way Ball, produced globally by Live Nation, already reaped huge success in Seoul, South Korea. Performances have been scheduled in a total of 21 European cities.

In her new tour, Gaga will perform her latest album Born This Way as well as music from both The Fame and The Fame Monster.

Lady Gaga's concert in Sofia was threatened to fail, as Bulgaria's national football team was to face Cyprus in a friendly game on the same venue on August 15. However, the Bulgarian Football Union recently decided to move the game to a different stadium.
