Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov has fired his adviser Rumen Milanov, it has been announced.

Milanov will no longer be Secretary of the Security Council at the Council of Ministers and head of the Center for Prevention of Organized Crime and Corruption (BORKOR), it was also made clear.

On Monday, Borisov told reporters that BORKOR's work does not satisfy him at the moment.

BORKOR has a primarily analytical function, but costs the Bulgarian state budget about BGN 2 M per year.

Last Thursday, Borisov fired Gen. Kircho Kirov whom he had appointed as an adviser only two months ago, after dismissing him as head of the National Intelligence Service.

Reports said that Kirov has been fired as a result of violations during his work as chief of Bulgaria's National Intelligence Service.
