Ruling Party MP to Head Bulgarian Health Fund
Domestic | March 27, 2012, Tuesday // 17:33| viewsBulgarian ruling GERB party MP Plamen Tsekov has been nominated as the next head of Bulgaria's National Health Insurance Funds (NZOK), according to reports.
The proposal to nominate Tsekov has already been approved by the center-right party's political group in Parliament, and by the leadership of the party.
Tsekov's candidacy has to be approved by a plenary vote, in which GERB can count on a large minority plus a number of aligned independent MPs.
Up to now, Tsekov has been vice-chair of the parliamentary Committee on Health, as well as chair of the group for friendship with Switzerland.
