Bulgaria to Host UEFA Under-17 Championship 2015

Bulgaria was selected to stage the UEFA European Under-17 Championship final tournament in 2015 by the UEFA Executive Committee at its meeting in Istanbul on Tuesday.
From 2015 the U17 final tournament will return to the 16-team format of its inaugural 2002 edition and the previous U16 Championship, with Bulgaria given the honor of staging the first expanded event.
"Our candidacy was highly praised. We are motivated to accept this as a challenge," said Borislav Mihaylov, President of the Bulgarian Football Union.
It was also announced that Lisbon's Estadio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica and the new Juventus Stadium will stage the 2014 finals of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, respectively.
