Bulgaria's pavilion spans an area of 200 square meters and will showcase a total of 28 tourist organizations, among which tour operators, individual tourist attractions and municipalities, according to information from the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism (MIET).

The project of MIET for popularizing the so-called EDEN destinations (European Destinations of Excellence) will also be presented during the fair.

Bulgaria has 12 EDEN destinations which were selected at three nationwide competitions.

The sites include Belogradchik, Loukovit, Vratsa, Silistra, Kavarna, the Strandzha Natural Park, Kardzhali, Kazanluk, Belitsa, Sandanski, Sapareva Banya and Kyustendil.

The Romanian Tourism Fair is the most important international event of this kind in Romania.

It brings together both tourism industry professionals and consumers.

According to MIET data, Bulgaria remains a traditional tourist destination on the Romanian market.

Visitors from Romania constituted the biggest group of foreigners to choose Bulgaria as a holiday destination in 2011.

In 2011, over 960 000 Romanians spent their holidays in Bulgaria, or 4.6% more than in 2010.
