Bulgaria's largest English-language media Novinite.com (Sofia News Agency) has become 11 years old as of 00:00 CET on Sunday, March 11, 2012!

Novinite.com (Sofia News Agency) was founded in 2001 by Bulgarian journalist, businessman, and public relations expert, Maxim Behar. It was formally launched on March 11, 2001.

For the past 11 years Novinite.com (Sofia News Agency) has become the trusted and favorite real-time English-language news provider of hundreds of thousands of readers from all over the world.

In its 11 years to date, Novinite.com (Sofia News Agency) has published 137443 articles, its real time news website recorded more than 38 000 000 unique visits, and more than 135 000 000 page views!

Novinite.com's online daily newspaper, The Sofia Morning News (called Bulgarian Breaking News at the time), was launched on June 1, 2001. Its subscription figures - and that of The Sofia Weekly – have surpassed 30 000.

On October 22, 2011, the family of Novinite.com (Sofia News Agency) grew with the launch of its Bulgarian language news service, Novinite.bg. On February 1, 2012, Novinite.bg launched its free online newspaper based on The Sofia Morning News – the Novinite daily.

On Sunday, December 21, 2008, Novinite.com (Sofia News Agency) published its 100 000th news article (paradoxically, it was about Novinite.com itself): "Novinite.com Becomes Media Partner of Invest in Bulgaria 2009 Business Summit."

The 120 000th article of Novinite.com (Sofia News Agency) is "Bulgaria's PM 'Plays' with 2011 Presidential Bid" published on September 9, 2010.

On Monday, December 20, 2010, Novinite.com had its 100 000 000th page view.
