Bulgaria's PM Boyko Borisov has appointed a new Deputy Economy Minister, the government press service announced.
Julieta Hubenova will join the team of Minister of Economy, Energy, and Tourism Traicho Traikov, and will be in charge of the economy portfolio.
At present, Delyan Dobrev is Traikov's deputy in charge of energy, and Ivo Marinov is in charge of tourism. The third Deputy Economy Minister Evgeni Angelov has quit to join the team of new President Rosen Plevneliev as an investment adviser.
In December 2011, Traikov explained that he actually needs four deputy ministers, with two being in charge of the economy portfolio, which is said to be pretty huge.
The Bulgarian government press service said the new Deputy Minister Julieta Hubenova has a degree in engineering. She has worked as an adverser on EU funding programs at the Economy Ministry, and was formerly a program director at the EBRD in Bulgaria, and an employee of Opportunity International Bulgaria, a SME-support network.
Also on Monday, Bulgarian PM Borisov dismissed Deputy Minister of Regional Development Ekaterian Zaharieva at her request.
