Manchester United's manager Sir Alex Ferguson has dispelled the latest rumors that Bulgarian forward Dimitar Berbatov might quit the team.

Sir Alex has stated that Berba will be staying in Manchester United, albeit he did not clarify whether this means that the Bulgarian is to sign a new contract, or to just stay till the summer, reports the Daily Mirror.

The latest spat of Berbatov transfer rumors were ignited when a week ago he visited Germany.

This provoked reports that he is planning to move to Bayer Leverkusen, which were then denied by both the team and Berba's agent.

Other teams reported to have a strong interest in the Bulgarian forward are German Bayern Munich, French Paris Saint-Germain, and Russian Anzhi.

Dimitar Berbatov is still seldom chosen to play for Manchester United, being a reserve since the start of 2012.

In December 2011, however, he was chosen by fans as ManUn's player of the month, after a spat of brilliant games.
