Italy's Udinese may become the parent club of Bulgarian giants CSKA Sofia, reports emerged on Friday.

Former Udinese defender Rudy Vanoli will be appointed as CSKA's new head coach, with former Udinese goalkeeper Gigi Turci joining his staff, ilfriuli.it has reported.

Udinese has several feeder clubs, among which Spanish sides Granada and Cadiz. The team's governing body is said to also eye a closer partnership with Tenerife.

CSKA Sofia and Udinese have been linked on several occasions over the last couple of months. CSKA President Dimitar Borisov even attended an Udinese game in Italy.

It has been recently reported that one of CSKA's best players, Brazilian forward Junior Moraes, is one of Udinese's main transfer targets. CSKA defender Ivan Bandalovski has also been linked with a possible Udinese deal.

Udinese is currently third in the Italian Seria A, lagging 2 points behind Milan and Juventus. CSKA is joint top with Ludogorets Razgrad in Bulgaria's A league.
