Bulgaria to Send Two Gymnasts to London 2012 Olympics

Bulgaria will send two gymnasts at the London 2012 Olympic Games - Yordan Yovchev and Ralitsa Mileva.

One day after Yordan Yovchev, the living legend of Bulgarian male gymnastics, won a quota, 18-year old Ralitsa Mileva followed suit by ranking 57th in the all-round competition at the second and final Olympic Gymnastics qualifying event.

Mileva scored a total of 49.565 points at London's O2 Arena.

The 18-year-old gymnast scored 13.400 on vault, 11.866 on bars, 12.666 on beam and 11.633 on floor.

Mileva's strongest performance was on beam, where she ranked 55th.

The International Gymnastics Federation has not yet confirmed Mileva's quota, but the official verification is expected to arrive after the apparatus final events later on Thursday.

The women's gymnastics teams of Italy,Canada, France and Brazil qualified for the London 2012 Olympics.

The champion in the all-around competition was an Italian of Bulgarian descent, Vanessa Ferrari, who scored 56.532 points.
