Legendary Bulgarian football player Hristo Stoichkov has commended the Bulgarian cabinet headed by PM Boyko Borisov in an interview Thursday.

Thursday Stoichkov, who is known to be on friendly terms with PM Borisov, was officially presented as the new manager of Bulgarian football champions Litex Lovech.

"Look at all the roads that Borisov is making. They might not be perfect, but at least they're something," commented the football player.

"I promise our new president-elect Rosen Plevneliev to be able to keep up his campaign promises. I can see in his eyes that he's an honest man," added he.

In the interview, Stoichkov also lauded the re-elected Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova, also from ruling center-right GERB party.

When asked about Bulgarian Socialist Party's leader and ex-PM Sergey Stanishev being elected as interim PES leader, the footballer dismissed that fact as of no importance.

In October 2011, Stoichkov was appointed by Bulgarian PM Borisov to be Bulgaria's honorary consul in Barcelona, Spain, the city where he made his world fame playing for Barcelona FC.
