7 People Found Shot to Death in Texas Apartment

Police in Texas have found seven people shot dead in a Dallas-area apartment apparent.

Police in the town of Grapevine said the dead included four women and three men, supposedly members of the same family, with one of them believed to have been the gunman.

The dead bodies were surrounded by newly unwrapped Christmas presents, local media report, as cited by the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA).

Police and firefighters first rushed to the Lincoln Vineyards complex after receiving an open-ended emergency services call at about 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, said Sergeant Robert Eberling of the Grapevine police department.

The victims have not been identified yet, but two of them are believed to be in their 50s or 60s, while the others appear to be young adults, about 18 to 20.

Two handguns were found during the search of the apartment.

The police investigation is ongoing.
