Hristo Stoichkov, one of Bulgaria's most prominent football players in history, is about to be appointed as head coach of Bulgarian club Litex Lovech, one of the team's players has stated.

According to Litex's French defender Maxime Josse, the club's players already know that Stoichkov will be coaching them.

"I don't know him personally. I am expecting to see whether he will keep using me as a midfielder or back in the defense line," Josse has told the French L'Union.

Josse also admitted that he lied to the club's former boss, current Bulgarian national coach Lyuboslav Penev that he is used to playing as a midfielder.

On Friday, it was reported that Stoichkov may be hired as the new national coach of Vietnam.

Earlier in December, rumors emerged that Stoichkov may engage in promoting the products of Chinese car company Great Wall Motor Co.

Bulgaria's Litex Motors and China's Great Wall Motors recently unveiled their first vehicle assembled in the plant near the northern Bulgarian city of Lovech, where the team of Litex is based.
