Manchester United's Bulgarian forward Dimitar Berbatov may be snapped up by his former Tottenham Hotspur during the winter transfer window, according to media reports.

The Red Devils are ready to let Berbatov go for nearly half the money they paid for him back in 2008, the reports claim.

Having scored 46 goals in 91 appearances for Spurs before his 2008 departure, the former Bulgarian international striker has been struggling to find his way back into Man Utd's starting 11 during the current season.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson recently disproved highly intensified rumors that his club intends ho sell the Bulgarian. However, rumors have continued "sending" the unsettled striker to various European clubs, including PSG, Fulham and Anzhi.

On Sunday, Sir Alex declared he was pleased to see United's injury list beginning to shorten following the return of Berbatov.
