Bulgarian Military Women Launch Charity Christmas Bazaar

Bulgaria's Union of Women Serving in the Military opened a charity Christmas bazaar at the Military Club in Bulgarian capital Sofia Sunday.

Bulgarian Minister Anyu Angelov delivered a welcoming speech for the event, the proceedings from which will go for children of Ministry of Defense officer who have died while serving their military duty.

"The children of our army should know that the Ministry and the Bulgarian Army will make all possible efforts for their better future," said Minister Angelov.

The chair of the Women's Union, lieutenant-colonel Nevyana Miteva presented the newly-created award of the society, the "Cavalier of the Army Rose", which was given to Anyu Angelov and other army generals.

Residents and visitors of Sofia are invited to come by to the Military Club and take part in the sale of a pleiad of handcrafted items to contribute to the charity.
