Administrative Court Sofa City (ACSC) is to rule Thursday on the legality of the end-October election of municipal councilors in Bulgaria's capital.

The trial was opened on November 02 on a complaint filed by the Greens party and the right-wing United Democratic Forces (ODS).

ACSC is also yet to determine the legality of the mayoral vote in Sofia, the results of which were contested by the Greens, socialist candidate for mayor Georgi Kadiev, Andrey Georgiev from the National People's Party and the right-wing Blue Coalition's runner, Proshko Proshkov.

The mayoral vote in Sofia was won by GERB's Yordanka Fandakova, who won a second term in office at the first round of the elections.

On Wednesday, Bulgaria's Constitutional Court overturned the request to cancel the outcome of the end-October presidential vote.

The decision confirming the victory of President-elect Rosen Plevneliev and his running mate, Margarita Popova, who ran on the ticket of center-right ruling party GERB, was taken unanimously.
