Two buses caught fire in Bulgaria Saturday over technical malfunctions.

The first one was traveling on the line connecting the Rhodoppe city of Smolyan and the nearby village of Smilyan. The bus was moving when its motor burst in flames. All passengers have been evacuated swiftly, and there are no reported injuries.

The bus belongs to the Rozhen Express company and serves the number 13 line which is part of Smolyan's public transportation system. The Head of the Regional Fire Rescue services informs the fire was triggered by a malfunction in the vehicle's electric circuit.

Meanwhile, a bus from the town of Kazanlak, carrying students on a field trip, caught fire in the "Republic" mountain pass in Stara Planina. No injuries have been reported there as well. There have been 19 teenagers from one class from a Kazanlak high school on the bus. Another bus is on its way to collect them, according to local police.

The cause of the second fire is still investigated, but a malfuction is deemed the likely culprit as well.
