President-elect Starts Bulgarian Tour

Bulgaria's President-elect, Rosen Plevneliev, begins Wednesday his tour of the six largest cities in the country.

From November 22, until the beginning of December, Plevneliev will meet with citizens and local administration in the cities of Burgas, Varna, Ruse, Stara Zagora, Plovdiv and Pleven.

The tour starts in the Black Sea city of Burgas, where the President-elect will take part in a debate titled "Strategic Priorities for Burgas and the Region. Burgas Mayor-reelect, Dimitar Nikolov, Regional Governor, Konstantin Grebenarov, Members of the Parliament, businessmen, and college students are also taking part in the forum.

Plevneliev, a former Regional Development Minister, who was elected President in runoff on the ballot of the ruling, center-right Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria party (GERB), has vowed to continue, from the presidential office, work on his top priority – the advancement of the country's regions.

"I was a Minister of Regional Development; now I want to be President of Regional Development," he says.
