Bulgaria's Deputy Prime Minister, Interior Minister, and Head of the Election Quarters of the ruling GERB party cast a ballot Sunday, accompanied by his entire family, including baby daughter Sofia.

He voiced hope the presidential institution will be "filled with content" by his favorite candidate.

Tsvetanov further pointed out the importance of high voter turnout in the runoff of the presidential and local elections, which is held in Bulgaria Sunday, and noted the much better organization at voting polls compared to the first round on October 23.

The Minister did, however, confirm there had been numerous reports of vote buying both before the elections and on Election Day. He informed the headquarters of the ruling Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria party (GERB) had received numerous complaints as well, and the authorities have been notified, but stressed these elections were marked by a much more adequate approach for countering violations and manipulations.

Tsvetanov pointed out that the two GERB Members of the Parliament, who were found to be improperly inside the facility where the capital's ballots have been counted, should be sanctioned by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC).
