Bulgaria's Council of Ministers will discuss draft budget 2012 at a closed session on Monday, Prime Minister Boyko Borisov told journalists late on Sunday.

He explained that the government would exchange views on the priority spheres and policies for next year as outlined by the Finance Ministry, after which the document would be uploaded on the ministry's website.

A subcommittee of the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation, which consists of representatives of the government, the business sector and unions, will also review the draft budget for 2012, the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) reported.

The trade unions have not been given any materials concerning the financial framework, despite the requirement to provide them with the information so that they can prepare their stances.

The Finance Ministry specified that all draft budget data would be presented to the unions during Monday's session.

The leaders of Bulgaria's trade unions and employers' organizations are to come up with official stances on the issue at Thursday's session of the tripartite council.

After that, the draft budget for 2012 must be approved by the government and put up for discussion in Parliament by November 01.
