Bulgarians living in New Zealand were the first to vote for the country's new president, as voting sections were opened there at 20:00 Bulgarian time on Saturday.

As of 6:00 am on Sunday, a total of 57 Bulgarians living in New Zealand had already cast their vote, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry has announced, as cited by Darik radio.

Voting for Bulgarian president and vice president is also underway in Australia, South Korea, and Japan.

Voting sections in Kabul, Kandahar, Dubai, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Beijing, Damascus and Tbilisi are also opened.

Several sections in the United States would be the last to close sometime Monday morning, due to time zone discrepancies.
