Valeri Bojinov and Nikoleta Lozanova, dubbed the hottest Bulgarian couple, recently did a steaming photo session for Maximum magazine

Bulgarian playmate Nikoleta Lozanova, who is much better known as the latest passion of top football player Valeri Bojinov, has become his lawfully wedded wife.

The couple, who recently moved to Lisbon and are expecting their first child, said their vows Sunday evening at a ceremony at the town of Pravets near Sofia.

Тhe place and timing of the wedding – in between two matches of the national team, which is in desperate need of at least one face-saving victory - has raised many eye brows.

This is the reason why the players from the team have been banned from attending the wedding, even though they were accommodated at the very same hotel that the newly weds picked for the happy occasion.

Lozanova has gained the reputation of a promiscuous and dominant lady, who has been calling the shots after Bojinov was transferred to Sporting Lisbon.

The news of Nikoleta's pregnancy and the wedding has dealt another blow to Bojinov's former long-term partner and mother of his child Alisia, who officially announced their separation at the end of October last year.

According to relatives, after Bojinov left her, the pop folk diva Alisia has been very depressed and has limited her public and professional appearances. Her parents and brothers are helping her raise their son, Valeri Jr.

Bulgaria new coach Mihail Madanski recalled back into the team the former Parma striker for the friendly game against Ukraine on Friday evening and the upcoming euro qualifier against Wales.

Ukraine put the Bulgarian team to shame after defeating it 3:0 and now all eyes are on the clash against Wales, due on October 11.

Lothar Matthaeus, who was recently sacked as coach of Bulgaria's squad, has been dropping Bojinov from his very first to his very last match in charge of the team, saying he was not happy with the striker's performance after watching him play against Fiorentina in Serie A.

The move was surprising as Bojinov was expected to be the key player Lothar Matthaeus will rely on after failing to convince Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov to return to the squad.

Valeri Bojinov has never made a secret of his negative feelings for the former coach and vowed never to wear the Bulgarian shirt while Matthaeus is in charge.

"I am very happy that once again I will have the opportunity to play for Bulgaria. I will give everything for the national team," Valeri Bojinov commented after the interim coach Madanski invited him back into the squad.
