Manchester United's allegedly unsettled Bulgarian forward Dimitar Berbatov has declared he does not care about the salary he receives, loves his current team and only wants to play for "glory".

"I'm happy here...My family is together in Manchester. I hear people complain about the weather, there's nothing to do and the food. But, for me, it's not like that. I play for a club I love, the biggest club, and everything else doesn't matter." Berbatov has told MUTV in an interview, according to Football Gossip.

"My mind was always set on joining Manchester United. How can you not go to United? I don't play for money. I play for glory and winning championships," Berbatov added, recollecting the joy he experienced upon joining the Red Devils back in 2008.

"I was speechless. When the biggest club contacts you, it's a big deal for me coming from a small country like Bulgaria," the forward said.

The 30-year-old striker's current deal expires at the end of the season and reports last month had suggested he may leave Old Trafford during the winter transfer window unless he inks a new contract in the coming months.

The likes of Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Valencia are ready to snap up the prolific forward, it has been recently reported.
