Bulgaria’s Dimitrov Once Again Fails to Upset Tsonga

Grigor Dimitrov, Bulgaria's top male tennis prospect has once again failed to World No 7 and Seed 1 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France.

Tsonga defeated Dimitrov 7-6 (7), 7-5 in the first round of the ATP 500 tournament in Beijing on Tuesday.

"I didn't move really well, didn't hit the ball really good, but I was on the court with my head," the Frenchman commented after the game, as cited by The Republic.

In a spectacular match of the second round of this year's Wimbledon, Dimitrov narrowly lost against Tsonga with a result of 7-6(4) 4-6 4-6 6-7(8)

Dimitrov is yet to win against any Top 10 player. His win-loss score is 0-7 after defeats against Rafael Nadal, Gilles Simon (twice), David Ferrer, Gael Monfils, Andy Murray and Tsonga.

Tsonga is in the upper part of the draw at the Beijing tournament, together with Tomas Berdych, Gilles Simon, Alexandr Dolgopolov, Fernando Verdasco, Juan Carlos Ferrero and  Michael Llodra. The other part of the draw is lead by Gael Monfis and includes Nicolas Almagro, Andy Roddick, John Isner, Ivan Ljubicic and Mikhail Youzhny.
