Bulgaria's top male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov, aka Grisho, has climbed 6 spots ahead in the global ATP ranking.

Dimitrov, 19, from the southern city of Haskovo, is now 70th with 696 points, after winning 45 points from the tournament in Bangkok last week. He scored victories against Ivan Dodig and Simone Bolelli, and was eliminated by number 4 in the world - Andy Murray.

By reaching the quarterfinals Dimitrov gained USD 17 400 of the prize money.

The Bulgarian is yet to win against any Top 10 player. His win-loss score is 0-5 after losses to Rafael Nadal, Gilles Simon (twice), David Ferrer and now Gael Monfils.

The list is still led Novac Djokovic, followed by Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, and Murray.

From other Bulgarian male tennis players only Dimitar Kutrovski is among the top 500 – 482. Tihomir Grozdanov is 570, Boris Bakalov – 633 and Dimitar Kuzmanov is 947.
