Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov will host Friday in Sofia and Pernik his yearly meeting with foreign diplomats in Bulgaria.

This will be Parvanov's last regular meeting with the diplomatic corps, as his second and constitutionally last term in office expires January 2012.

Presidential elections in Bulgaria are scheduled for October 23, 2011, along with elections for municipal authorities.

Friday morning Parvanov will host diplomats at Sofia's Sheraton Hotel, where he and doyen diplomat in Bulgaria, Lebanon ambassador Micheline Abi Samra, will give official addresses.

In the afternoon the group will move to Pernik, where they will meet mayor Rositsa Yanakieva and will play a charity football game.

A number of Bulgarian sports stars will join the Parvanov-led squad to face a team of foreign ambassadors.

Proceedings from the event, including an auctioning of the Bulgarian President's jersey, will go for the construction of children's sport facilities in Pernik.
