UK-Pakistan Flight Receives Bomb Threat over Bulgaria's Sofia, Lands in Istanbul

A passenger plane of Pakistan International Airlines has made an emergency landing in Istambul after receiving a bomb threat while flying over Bulgarian capital Sofia.

No bomb has exploded, passengers have been evacuated and Turkish security personnel are making a thorough search of the plane, aided by trained dogs, reports the Anatolian agency.

The flight, serviced by a Boeing 777-300EA, was headed from Manchester to Islamabad, and had 378 people on board.
