A pilot error has been considered the prime reason for Wednesday accident, in which two people died as a small plane crashed near the southern Bulgarian Black Sea Resort of Primorsko.

Before the plane crashed, it was flying 500-700 meters above the airport in the Primorsko "Albena AD" tourist complex. According to an expert from the Bulgarian Transport Ministry, who spoke Thursday for the country's state radio station, the pilot tried to perform aerial acrobatics for which the plane was not designed.

The flight's initial purpose has been reported as sightseeing.

A pilot and a passenger, both Bulgarian citizens; died as the plane caught on fire upon hitting the ground.

The airport has all necessary permits and licenses from the Bulgarian air traffic authorities dating back to 2005.
