Manchester United consider offering their Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov a new one-year contract, according to reports.

Berbatov's current deal ends in 2012 and the Red Devils may lose him on a free transfer, The Telegraph has pointed out, stating that is the reason the club are willing to strike a new one with the Bulgarian hitman.

Despite numerous reports that Berbatov would leave Old Trafford very soon, Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson, has stated the player is not for sale as he insists on using him during the upcoming season.

PSG have been reported on several occasions as hoping to sign Berbatov during the summer transfer window, together with the likes of Valencia, Bayern Munich, Juventus and  Malaga.
