Dozens of Ramadan Sheep Slaughtered in Bulgaria Road Accident

A freight truck loaded with more than 200 live sheep has overturned on the international road to Turkey near Harmanli in southern Bulgaria.

The truck driver lost control of the vehicle at a left turn, causing it to overturn near the road.

The driver has been hospitalized with light wounds at the Harmanli hospital. More than half of the 200 sheep in the truck have regrettably been killed in the accident.

According to documents, the sheep were being transported to Turkey for the ongoing Ramadan holiday.
