The dream honeymoon of a newlywed British couple in the Seychelles has turned into a tragic nightmare after the man died in a shark attack.
Ian Redmond survived the attack off Anse Lazio beach on Praslin, but died of his injuries afterwards, a local police spokesman said, as cited by BBC.
The shark had beaten off the man's arm and caused severe hip injuries.
The tragedy occurred on Tuesday while the thirty-year-old man from Lancashire was snorkeling.
The couple was in the second week of their luxury honeymoon and were scheduled to fly home on Sunday.
This has been the second attack fatal shark attack in the same area this month. A 36-year-old French tourist was killed by a shark off the same beach just over two weeks ago.
